OpenAI has opened the GPT-Live-1 voice model API for developers, allowing integration of ChatGPT's voice features into applications to build full-duplex voice assistants that support real-time speech and natural handling of interruptions and pauses. The voice front-end costs 0.05 dollars per minute, while the back-end complex reasoning model is billed separately.
